She worked at a few part-time jobs and started working full-time at Nor-Egg in Calmar in 1975. She retired in Sep 1995 from Graphics, Inc. in Calmar where she was employed the past 20 years. She enjoys playing cards, horseshoes, bowling and trips to Red Wing and Miss Marquette. She enjoys her grandchildren and spending time with them. Dan and Ethel reside in rural Ft. Atkinson.

Steven Francis married Lynn Flope 18 Apr 1987 near West Union, IA. He works for Balik Trucking and has his own business "Nitty’s Auto Salvage.” He has one son Jordan Witt. Teresa Ann (b. in a car in the parking lot of the New Hlampton Hospital) married Edward Simon 28 Apr 1979 in Ft. Atkinson. They reside in Rocky River, OH where Ed is an insurance agent and Terri works for a pager company and is attending school for Physical Therapy Technician. They have 3 children: Jennifer Lea, Nicholas Page and Patrick Jonathan. Jean Ann married Mark Loftus 16 Jul 1988 in Cedar Rapids. They later divorced. Jeanne has 2 sons: Rob Douglas and Andrew Daniel. Jeanne works as a certified cosmetologist at Edgewood Hair Design in Cedar Rapids. Lori Ann  married Vern Ryant 21 May 1983 in Spillville. They divorced in 1989. Lori has 2 children: Kariss Lenae and Cory Adam. Lori works at APAC in Decorah and she and her children reside in Calmar. Debra Ann lives in Cedar Rapids and works at Aegon (Life Investors). She is very involved in activities in her church, St. PiusX. She participates in recreational sports and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. Joseph John recently purchased his first home in Ft. Atkinson and works for Roverud Construction. Daniel Joseph married Samantha Egge 7 Sep 1991 at Big Canoe Church near Highlandville. They lived in Decorah and moved to rural Highlandville in 1994. They have 2 daughters: Amanda Lynn and Michaela Lynn. Danny works as a maintenance technician at Deco Products in Decorah and “Sam” works at the Winneshiek Co. Memorial Hospital in Decorah. Kav Elizabeth lives in Cleveland, OH. She works for Personal Physician Care Insurance and is engaged to be married to Les Warner in Sep 1996. James Alan is serving in the U.S. Army and is presently stationed at Ft. Hood, TX.

Frank Aloyis Neuzil was born in Chicago 2 Dec 1894 to John Joseph and Mary (Koutek) Neuzil. John was born in Bechyne, Kraj, Tabor, Bohemia and Mary was born in St. Paul, MN 15 Mar 1860. John and Mary were married in 1882 in St. Paul. Frank’s brothers and sisters were: Charles, Wenceslaus (James), Anna Rein, Mary Rausch, Joseph, Louis, William, and Agnes Shimek. Frank married Julia Wandas who was born 19 Jun 1896 to John and Anna (Kubish) Wandas. John was born in 1854 and Anna in 1859. Julia’s brothers and sisters were: Charles J., Joseph, Sister M. Procopia, Jennie Swehla, Agnes Doubek, Stephana and Mary Neuzil. Frank and Julia were married 24 Nov 1919 at Lourdes, IA. They had 4 children: Bernard F., Julia, Daniel and Norbert.

Bernard Francis (b. 20 Jun 1921) married Marie Rilling 1 Jul 1957. They live in Ft. Atkinson, IA and have 4 children: Donald, Linda, Marilyn and Sandra. Julia married Jack Bales and lives in Cedar Rapids, IA. They have 5 children: Cheryl, Bob, Dave and Gary. Daniel married Ethel Blong 30 Dec 1953. They live in Ft. Atkinson and have 9 children: Steve, Terri, Jeanne, Lori, Debbi, Joe, Danny, Kay and Jamie. Norbert married lone Beckman. They live in Decorah and have 4 children: Loran, Karen, Janice and Craig.

Frank and Julia are members of St. John’s Catholic Church in Ft. Atkinson. Frank fought during WWI in the infantry. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the American Legion and the Catholic Workman. Julia is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Rosary Society. Frank made his living as a stone mason. Julia worked in the FC. Smith store in Ft. Atkinson before she was married.

Frank died 6 Feb 1983 and is buried at St. John’s Cemetery in Ft. Atkinson. Julia currently resides at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah.

Frank Edward Neuzil was born 21 Apr 1922 to John F and Eleanora (Novak) Neuzil on a farm 3 1/2 miles southwest of Spillville, IA. Frank graduated from Rudolphinum High School in Protivin and started farming with his father on the home place. Frank entered the Army 26 Jul 1944 and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
